Excursions 
The hotel and panoramic restaurant on Rigi Kulm has been visited since 1816. The sunrise is breathtaking. Mark Twain was probably the most promient guest of the hotel, who - slept through the sunrise. This daily spectacle has attracted people even in the 18th and 19th centuries, who made their pilgrimage to the "Queen of the Mountains". Once one has seen from the Rigi summit the sun rise one can understand the influence it had on poets and painter of the Romantic period.
