Among the guests was Hermann Hesse, who wrote the novel “Steppenwolf” on the premises. The hotel was renovated and enlarged in 1958 and in the year 2002 it was bought by today’s tenant, Franz-Xaver Leonhardt. In 2003, the Edith Maryon Foundation stepped in and from 2004 to 2006, all the rooms were renovated and equipped with typical furniture from the 1950es.
